Chris McRaney, Founder and General Manager
Coach McRaney has a variety of business, teaching and coaching experiences. He founded Team Georgia Baseball Academy in 2004 and later co-founded Team Georgia Softball Academy in 2010.
Originally from Mississippi, he began his baseball career at the junior college level before finishing at Mississippi State University where he attained a double degree in Business and a Real Estate Brokers license. After completing an executive management training program, Coach McRaney moved to Atlanta in the late 90’s to pursue a career working in Corporate America. Coach McRaney then decided in the early 2000’s it was time for a change. He wanted to combine his passion for baseball with his love for working with young people and decided to enter the field of education and pursue coaching. In 2003 Coach McRaney started teaching kids with special needs and later attained a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Georgia State University in 2009. He taught special needs for ten years and coached at some of the best high school baseball programs in Georgia.
